What is Junk Removal?

What is Junk Removal

Junk removal or clearing junk is the process of removing unwanted items from a home or business. The goal is to clear out any unwanted clutter that's preventing flow or that is simply not in use or important. The junk that doesn't have a place to go in your home or business can be removed by junk removal experts at Wildland Hauling and Junk Removal or any other junk removal service providers in your area. What items do they take? Most top-rated junk removal companies will take away anything that is not working, trash, wood, furniture, and appliances. However, there are some items that Junk Removal companies are not allowed to take (such as liquids or hazardous materials), to make a better judgment simply call the junk removal companies and ask about the restrictions.

Why should you clear junk?

Clearing junk can be (in a literal and metaphorical sense) weightlifting. Why is this? We can dive deep into it and call it a mental cleanout of inventoried items in our subconscious or we can just call it unnecessary and get on with our blog XD Anywho clearing out unwanted items can make room for new things, things that provide value or comfort to your home or business. Another reason one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I mean like something that you don’t want or need can be a blessing in disguise for another person or family. Imagine how many things you might be clearing out that someone else needs or wants (or would simply like.) A big reason to clean out stuff is to make space! Who doesn’t need extra space? With extra space, you can have more storage space for anything you want or need, literally. How does your spare room look? Do you have extra space? Think what you could do with some extra square feet. You can do a lot, you could work out at home, stretch in the morning, bust out your old easel and paint or draw... You get the idea. Look at the possibilities of clearing out that extra stuff you don’t need or want.

Now that we’ve established or why we should go over the how. The first thing is you need to establish what it is you don’t need anymore. These things fall under a lot of categories but for this, we will be using two, keepsake, and necessity. Keepsake is something that has sentimental value to you. For example, photo albums or favorite moments, videos of family, heirlooms, etc. Necessity is something that you use more often than not. Items like these include things like clothes, dishes, furniture, appliances, utensils, etc.

The how is a bit simpler than the other steps... I will not omit how to look for a junk removal servicer in your area just for the sake of saving readers a few minutes. I will tell you because from personal experience I know that a lot of people don't even know Junk Removal companies exist. So here in the San Fernando Valley, I will be giving my company Junkwild.com a shout because this is and the Ventura County are the areas I service. To search for a Junk Removal company near you simply type in the keyword "Junk removal + your city" in the search bar on Google.com. I will point out the Junk Removal companies that often pop up in the ads are mostly franchise companies and honestly, these guys usually charge more than anyone out there. I will also tell you that not all companies are equal. To get the best for you look at reviews of the companies you find in the "map pack," which will usually be near the top of the results after ads. After doing a local search and reading the reviews next look at the presentation. Do you get a feel for how the company is run? How is the information presented to you? If the info is insightful and matches the company's brand then I believe you can go to the next step and call them.

This is the perfect opportunity to ask all the questions you have. How much does it cost for a full load? How much is it per item? Do you have a minimum pick-up charge? Do you take liquid? Can I pay with a credit card? What items don't you take? What do you take? Can I get a discount? All questions are welcome, I personally will ask a million questions because that's how thorough I am. The more questions you ask the better-informed decision you will make. A lot of junk removal companies will as you to set up a free-of-charge estimate almost 100% of the time. The reason is that pictures often don't do justice to the actual amount of items and the workload. Therefore an in-person free-of-charge estimate is almost always necessary. On some occasions, an in-person estimate is not necessary because of the little number of items. That's why it's better to ask a lot of questions. Remember each state and city dumping fee is different, that means all process will differ.

Great so now we have the why, the how, the how much, all we need now is the when. This part is easy, most companies will cater to your schedule depending on the day and season. A lot of junk removal companies are closed on Sundays due to the dumps and or transfer stations being closed. However, some companies will do an emergency load if they offer this service. I do offer 1 emergency load if a client asks. But that is the limit because said junk will stay in the dump trailer overnight until the next day. Same-day pick-ups are possible depending on the schedule of the company, be sure to ask if you need a same-day pick-up. Now that you have scheduled a pick-up time just sit back and relax, rest assured that we as the junk removal company will take said items and you will not have to worry about it anymore.

Now we have outlined the full process of a junk removal job. We covered many topics on the subjects. There is plenty to talk about when it comes to decluttering, but for now, we can leave now and know we can make a more informed decision when it comes to "Junk Removal." Feel free to share this article with your family and friends. You never know who this might help. I thank you for your time in reading and your patience.
